In all the religions and mythologies of the peoples of the world, the material universe (visible and invisible) is symbolized by an egg.
Helena Blavatsky in Secret Doctrine (VOLUME II CH.VI page78) writes:
“The Egg was incorporated as a sacred sign in the cosmogony of every people on Earth…
It represented most successfully the origin and the secret of the Being…
In the fancy of the thinkers it as portrayed as an ever invisible, mysterious Bird that dropped an Egg into Chaos, which Egg became the Universe.
Hence Brahma was called Kalahansa, the ‘swan in (space and) time’. He became the swan of eternity’ who, at the beginning of each Maha Manvantara, lays a ‘Golden Egg’. In Ch. 54, of the Egyptian Ritual, Seb, the god of Time and of the Earth, is spoken of as having laid an egg, or the Universe, an egg conceived at the hour of the great one, of the ‘Dual Force’.
Ra (of the Egyptians) is shown, like Brahma, gestating in the Egg of the Universe.
In the (Indian) book of Vishnu Puraná, translated by Wilson, it is mentioned that: ‘The egg is given the epithet Haima or Hiranya, meaning ‘golden’. Also, as said in the Vishnu Puraná: ‘Intellect (Mahat)…, the (un-manifested) gross elements inclusive, formed an egg… and the lord of the Universe himself abided in it, in the character of Brahma…
In that egg O Brahman, there were the continents, and the seas and the mountains, the planets and the divisions of the universe, the gods, the demons and mankind.”
…The Orphic Cosmogony also refers to the Orphic Egg.
This universe/ egg is surrounded by an impenetrable (invisible) “wall/barrier”. This “barrier” is the “revolving sword”, which surrounded / enclosed our entire world excluding man from the Tree of Life of the True Paradise and the Kingdom of Heaven.
“And at the east of the garden of Eden he stationed the cherubim, and a revolving, flaming sword, to guard the way to the tree of life.”
[GENESIS ch. 3:24]
The revolving sword however, was NOT activated by the Father / God, but by the abductor of men Lucifer, who proclaimed himself “god”.
When Christ came into the world of matter to pay Lucifer / the abductor the ransom for the deliverance of man, He shattered the impenetrable wall / shell of the material universe / egg, creating a Gate / Passage in its walls for the people who CHOSE to escape from the material universe trap as well as from “the archon of this world” (the world of matter), Lucifer …
That’s why Christians break red eggs at Easter as a symbolic act indicating that the material universe (visible and invisible) was painted red by the blood / ransom of Jesus Christ who BROKE the continuum of the revolving sword, providing the exit from Lucifer’s imprisonment …
